A Heartfelt Letter to Our Staff

All of us at Timberland Ridge are so humbled to receive a letter like this from a recent family. It touches our hearts to feel the true impact our care has on residents and families alike. We know that finding a long-term care facility can be difficult, and we thank you for entrusting us with your care.

"Where does one begin? From the day she was admitted into Timberland Ridge to the day she went to the funeral home, my beautiful wife, Carol, received the best care she could have received at any home in Northeast Ohio. That's not just my opinion. That was told to me by numerous Nurses, Nurses Aides, Social Workers and Clergy from Summa Health Hospice Care who looked after Carol twice a week during her stay at Timberland.

Hospice care workers visit facilities throughout the region, and they said the staff at Timberland is top-notch! The Health Care providers are the most compassionate and conscientious they've ever seen. They really bond with their patients. That's what we experienced during our stay at Timberland Ridge. In addition, you couldn't ask for a more wonderful, caring support staff: The Housekeepers and the Kitchen Staff, who prepare three hearty and satisfying meals a day, befriended Carol and took her under their wings. The Administrative Personnel, from Admissions to Activities to Management to Social Work, showed remarkable attentiveness. The Maintenance personnel, who work hard to keep the place running smoothly, are all great people. The pictures you see here are not just PR. This is a beautiful, well-appointed, well-kept home!

On our last day at Timberland, I told some of the staff that I couldn't just walk away. Carol and I became so close to them, and to some of the other residents, they became like a family to us. I told them I'd like to volunteer there several hours a week to help wherever they could use me; that's how deeply they touched our lives. I was told when the time comes, to give them a call, and I would be welcomed with open arms."
