A Successful Caregiving Team
L to R: Brittany Burbage and Rachel Trease

NOTE: This was taken from the blog of Foundations Health Solutions leader Bob Speelman. Bob works closely and frequently communicates with our Foundations Health facilities. It is so inspiring to see how each care team embodies the vision of our founder and nursing home developer, Brian Colleran, to be "A Culture of Care."
I had the privilege of working alongside Brittany Burbage, an STNA at Timberland Ridge, our 75-bed facility located in Fairlawn, Ohio. Brittany has been an STNA for six years and has just enrolled in nursing school at Stark State. Brittany has a caregiver's heart, and throughout the day, as I worked with her on Timberland's Memory Care Unit, I was amazed at how loving, patient and comforting she was to each and every one of her residents.
Brittany’s partner for the day (besides me) was John Gilbert, another wonderful STNA that we are lucky to have. Brittany, John and the Nurse on the Unit, Rachel Trease, worked together as an amazing team. Their communication was incredible as they went in and out of resident rooms.
It was obvious that all three of them loved their jobs and loved working together to take care of their residents.
My time with Brittany, John and Rachel flew by so fast. We laughed, spent time with the residents, attended to their needs and got everything that needed to be done accomplished. That’s what teamwork does, and that is a perfect example of a Successful Caregiving Team!
